Technical Platform
The Experior Practice Management (Expert
PM) and Surgery Center (SurgeOn) applications operate on a
Windows Server platform. Data is stored and maintained
using the Microsoft SQL Server database. Microsoft Internet
Explorer is used at the desktop to access the applications
using web pages served up by Microsoft .Net and Microsoft
Internet Information Server. Data is on-line, real-time
and easily accessible. Documentation covering all screens,
tables, and programs is provided at time of installation.
The Microsoft SQL Server database provides audit files for restoring and recovery of the database in case of system, hardware, or operator failure. Database back ups can be performed on-line without any interruption to end-users.
With Experior's continuous processing capabilities, the Expert PM and SurgeOn applications run 24 hours, 7 days a week. This allows our clients to access on-line applications during nightly batch processing and system back ups.
The client interface uses Microsoft Internet Explorer and
web pages to provide access to the applications. No
Experior applications need to be installed at the workstation
level. The workstations may utilize other third party
products such as word processing and spreadsheets along with
the web based Experior product. The server(s) proposed
are designed for no single point of failure. Hot swappable
disks, multiple connections to the network and mirrored servers
are proposed to provide a high level of failure resistance.
Microsoft SQL Server database is an ODBC compliant database. Products like Monarch, Excel, Crystal Reports, and other ODBC compliant tools may be used to generate reports directly from the database.
