WebChart
EHR (Electronic Health Record) from Medical
Informatics Engineering (MIE) is an integrated portfolio
of Web-based EMR,
RIS/PACS
and Document Management solutions designed for physician practices
and ambulatory surgery centers. The value WebChart
delivers can be summed up in two words – minimally invasive.
Patients have long enjoyed the benefits of minimally invasive
procedures, and the Minimally
Invasive™ WebChart EHR portfolio increases comfort,
improves outcomes and accelerates the realization of benefits
for medical practices and surgery centers. Our implementation
approach is designed to minimize practice upheaval and help
the practice realize the maximum return on a WebChart
EMR, RIS/PACS
or Document Management investment.
WebChart
is a Web-based longitudinal patient record that includes full
document management, dictation, transcription, exam template,
order entry, med entry, prescription support, patient education,
and other components. WebChart
observes major interoperability standards, including IHE profiles,
HL7, DICOM, CCR and CDA. WebChart
integrates data from internal ambulatory documentation, practice
management systems, labs, RIS/PACS, hospital interfaces, and
from personal health record (PHR) systems.
WebChart
supports multiple forms of data entry to document patient
encounters, orders and other components of the patient visit.
Authorized users of this Web-based application are able to
securely access the patient record, create tasks, create orders
and generate encounter information from any Web-enabled PC
at home, the office, clinics, or the hospital.
WebChart
EMR version 4.23 from MIE
is a CCHIT
Certified®; product for CCHIT ambulatory EHR 2006.

Accessible EHR
The WebChart
product portfolio is Web-based, enabling clinicians
to access patient records anytime, anywhere, on any Web
browser. As there is no software to install, download
or upgrade, physicians can log on from home, the hospital
or anywhere they have Internet access. Unlike legacy systems
reverse-engineered to run online, WebChart
systems were developed and optimized for the Web. WebChart
accessibility extends to ease-of-use, with products
that are intuitive and simple to learn for anyone familiar
with paper charts. |
Interoperable EHR
We developed our electronic health
record portfolio with full interoperability in mind, avoiding
a closed, proprietary model. We actively participate in
the leading organizations that develop and promote adherence
to interoperability standards, and we demonstrate our
commitment to interoperability every day in practices
around the country. Each product in our Minimally
Invasive™ EHR portfolio is natively integrated,
meaning our EMR
and RIS/PACS
systems can share information seamlessly without an interface,
and WebChart
systems in separate practices can do the same. We are
also committed to practical and affordable integration
with systems from other vendors using accepted interoperability
protocols. |
Flexible EHR
Unlike EHR software that requires
an “all-in, one-size-fits-all” approach, WebChart
is extremely flexible. Practices can start anywhere and
add functionality in modular, scalable increments. Rather
than requiring your practice to dramatically change workflow
to fit an arbitrary software model, WebChart
systems are configured for individual practices and clinicians.
We recognize that even within a single practice, some
physicians are reluctant to give up paper charts while
others are ready to document every encounter on a tablet
PC. WebChart
allows physicians to point & click in a templated
exam, dictate, or enter information on bar-coded forms
that can be scanned and auto-indexed back into the online
chart. |
Affordable
Our Web-based, ASP model does
not require an up-front investment in servers, database
licenses and support infrastructure. Your initial investment
is not only lower, it is primarily directed at implementation
configured for your practice. This tailored approach to
implementation generally results in faster, wider practice
adoption and a condensed time to payback and return on
investment. Once WebChart
is implemented, there is an affordable monthly per clinician
fee that includes access to WebChart,
upgrades, support and support staff usage. |
